The president continued his pattern of very peculiar conduct on Tuesday. A reporter questioned him as he entered the White House about the COVID-19 emergency’s impending termination (which is set for May 11 according to The ScienceTM).
Instead of just responding, Biden approaches the reporter and takes her hand before flashing an oddly insane smile and he holds on tight.
He reminds me of the Seinfeld episode “close talker.”
Throughout Biden’s political career, there has been a pattern of touching women in ways that are inappropriate in polite company. He shows no regard for other people’s personal space, and it comes off as an effort to rule others. He occasionally makes an incursion after being triggered by a question. Sometimes he strikes on the spot and without warning.
If I gave every instance over the years, this essay would wind up being encyclopedia-length. We are all aware of the indecent groping and sniffing of young females. One of his go-to maneuvers has also evolved into the hand grab. A US Senator was nervously attempting to understand what was going on when, in August of last year, he grabbed her hand and wouldn’t let go for 30 seconds.
Do you have any idea how many ladies I’ve approached in my life and grabbed at random? Because that’s not something a regular man does, the answer is zero. Even more improper is the fact that he was a reporter in a professional situation. And you can be sure that even with the greatest of intentions if Donald Trump had touched a reporter in that way, there would have been a week-long news cycle about how he physically abused someone.
Aside from the grabbing, Biden also managed to make little sense, misrepresenting the date of his COVID-19 emergency ending and implying that the Supreme Court was somehow involved.
But if the national media is going to put up with this, I suppose that’s their right. While the White House press secretary lies to reporters in the daily briefings, Biden refuses to do news conferences for months (or years?) at a time when he isn’t yelling at them or grabbing them. Nothing will persuade them to stop their adoring treatment of Biden if that hasn’t already done so.
