President Joe Biden stated on Tuesday that if Democrats maintain their Control of congress in the midterm elections, he will sign legislation making abortion legalized nationally.
“I assure you, if you’ll do your role and vote, Democrat leaders in Congress, we will do our part,” Biden added.
Biden made his declaration at the Howard Auditorium in Washington, DC, during a Democratic National Convention surrounded by “Restore Roe” placards.

The president implored his supporters to recall their emotions on the day that the Supreme Court overruled Roe v. Wade, citing the “chaos and misery” that ensued.
“It doesn’t only effect your generation, youthful generation; it affects children, mothers, grandmothers, grandfathers, and entire generations,” Biden remarked.

According to Politico, Democrats and super PACs affiliated with their agenda have spent roughly $18 million on abortion-related advertisements.
“Right now, we’re a few votes short,” Biden stated.
Soon after Roe v. Wade was overruled, the president embraced the concept of eliminating the filibuster to make abortion lawful.
“If the filibuster comes in the way, this is like voting rights,” the president remarked, blasting the High Court for their “ridiculous behavior.”
However, Senators Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Krysten Sinema (D-AZ) have both indicated a refusal to break the Senate filibuster, even on the matter of abortion, thereby rendering it impossible for Democrats to gain a majority.
