Biden Shifts The Blame For His Most Obvious Failure

President Joe Biden said this Tuesday that gas prices have gone up because of Russia and the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (also known as OPEC) refusing to “produce more oil.”

Biden gave his comments during the UN climate conference (COP26) in Scotland, where he was asked to talk about when Americans can expect everyday prices to decrease, including the price of gas.

The president reiterated his White House’s assertion that the increase in consumer prices was, first and foremost, because of supply chain problems caused by the covid pandemic.

“If you look at gas prices… That is because of, so far, the refusal of Russia and the OPEC nations to produce more oil,” Biden said. “We will all see what happens on this eventually.”

Despite his choice to remove the permit for the Keystone XL pipeline and enact a moratorium on new gas and oil leasing and drilling permits for United States lands and waters, the president has put the blame on OPEC for being unwilling to greatly increase their production of oil to fight rising gasoline prices.

“The idea that Saudi Arabia and Russia and other top producers are not going to product more oil so people can have gasoline to get to work, is not right,” Biden stated at the G20 summit.

Many OPEC members have laughed at Biden’s pleas, arguing that they should not produce oil at a faster rate because of uncertainties linked with the pandemic, according to Al Jazeera.

U.S. Energy Information Administration put out a report in mid-October, predicting that American households would see their energy expenditures rise as high as 54% when compared to 2021’s winter.

This comes at a time when many Americans are also suffering from rising inflation which has increased the prices for common goods like gas, food and other essential items. Meanwhile, Biden and the Democrats are still working around the clock to pass another multi-trillion dollar bill that will print more free money and increase inflation even more. They seem to be on a warpath that includes no consideration for the future of America.
