The American people are waking up. For years, the Democratic Party has postured as the moral compass of the nation, wagging its finger at conservatives and shouting accusations of impropriety. But now, the mask is slipping. And nowhere is this more evident than in the disgraceful behavior of Stacey Plaskett, Democrat delegate from the U.S. Virgin Islands.
This week, the nation watched in disbelief as Plaskett appeared on CNN to explain her 2019 text messages with none other than convicted sex predator Jeffrey Epstein. Yes, that Jeffrey Epstein—the man whose crimes against young girls shocked the world and whose connections to the rich and powerful remain a dark cloud over Washington.
During a live interview on CNN’s “The Situation Room,” Plaskett offered what can only be described as a flimsy excuse for her communication with Epstein. She claimed that she reached out to him because he was a “constituent.” She also said that, as a former prosecutor, she often had to deal with “bad people” to get information. These explanations were not only weak—they were insulting to the intelligence of every American who expects integrity from their elected officials.
Here is the video of her interview, which only raises more questions than it answers:
CNN just brought on Stacey Plaskett to “clear the air” about her texts with Jeffrey Epstein on the morning of the 2019 Michael Cohen hearing.
Her defenses:
– “He was a constituent”
– “As a prosecutor you get info from bad people all the time”
– She initiated the 7:55 a.m. text… pic.twitter.com/hZ5hiPPNHz— Media Lies (@MediasLies) November 19, 2025
Plaskett’s behavior is especially concerning when we consider the timing. The texts were exchanged on the very morning of a congressional hearing targeting President Trump through his former attorney Michael Cohen. What was Epstein’s role in that hearing? Why was a Democrat lawmaker in communication with him at that exact moment? These are questions that demand real answers—not vague talking points.
She also admitted during the interview that she had accepted donations from Epstein. But instead of returning the money when his crimes first became public in 2008, she waited until 2019—after public pressure mounted from yet another investigation. Only then did she quietly donate the money to women’s groups. That’s not leadership. That’s damage control.
Even more disturbing is how the Democratic Party and their allies in the media are circling the wagons. CNN’s own Wolf Blitzer and Pamela Brown failed to challenge her on the most obvious problems with her story. They let her off the hook. That’s not journalism—it’s protection.
And where are her fellow Democrats? Silent. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries refused to give a straight answer when grilled by another CNN host, Kaitlan Collins, about whether it was “appropriate” for Plaskett to be texting a convicted child predator during a congressional hearing. Why the silence? Could it be because Jeffries himself has troubling ties to Epstein, as recently brought to light?
To make matters worse, a few Republicans in the House joined Democrats to block a formal censure of Plaskett. These so-called conservatives betrayed their voters and gave cover to someone who should be held accountable. The American people deserve better.
All of this reveals a pattern. The Democrats spent years trying to tie President Trump to Epstein with no evidence. But when one of their own is caught red-handed—and when money and messages are clearly on the record—they suddenly lose interest. Their double standard is both shameful and dangerous.
President Trump has returned to the White House to restore order, truth, and justice. But the swamp is still deep, and the rot runs wide. If we are to preserve our Republic, we must hold every public official to the same standard—no matter their party, no matter their office.
The time has come for real accountability. The American people will not forget.
