After President Joe Biden’s appalling performance in the debate, Democrats convened at the Democrat National Committee’s (DNC) headquarters to consider who to endorse for president, with the goal of reducing leaks.
Despite the precaution, a few MPs disclosed a portion of the meeting’s contents to the press, referring to it as a “funeral” and expressing “sadness” and “a great deal of aggravation.” A pregnant House Democrat allegedly leaked a comment in which she candidly discussed having an abortion during the discussion, according to NOTUS. The lawmaker’s name was withheld. Reportedly, the senator hinted that should former President Donald Trump win reelection, she would not be able to get an abortion later in her pregnancy, citing her age as a potential risk factor.
Reporters Riley Rogerson and Reese Gorman stated that “at one point, one House Democrat—whose identity NOTUS is concealing, at the congresswoman’s request—disclosed to the caucus that she was pregnant.”
She also stated that she is more likely to experience health issues if she becomes pregnant beyond the age of 40. She mentioned that she currently lives in a place where she is able to make decisions regarding her health and those of her child, but that may not be the case if Trump wins, according to three members who shared the incident.
One of the anonymous individuals who communicated with NOTUS described the pregnant lawmaker’s remark as “very potent.”
“I believe it deeply touched a lot of people. However, the politician allegedly said, “I don’t think that affects the broader dynamic with the Black Caucus.”
The conclusion of the morning caucus meeting was that “Democrats are still not convinced that Biden is the best option.” However, the narrative continued, stating that it was “obvious Biden isn’t going away” due to the overwhelming support from Democrats for him.
One House Democrat, who would like to remove Biden from office in secret, told NOTUS that “we’re riding this horse at this moment.” Thus, I’m changing tack. I will do my best to argue why we need to side with the elderly man rather than the insane one.
