Democrats Struggle To Con Their Way Into Power

Katie Hobbs, a Democrat running for governor, is being criticized by an Arizona sheriff for her “BS” border security rhetoric.

Sheriff Mark Lamb of Pinal County, Arizona, said in a statement that while voters “will hear harsh language” from Hobbs on border security, “it is more political BS simply to win your support.”

In Scottsdale, Arizona, at a “Stand for Freedom” demonstration held at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Scottsdale Resort, Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb talked with Kari Lake’s supporters.

As Breitbart News noted, Hobbs, who is challenging Republican Kari Lake in the election, has ridiculed the notion that border security should be a key issue:

Hobbs stated in an interview with the Arizona Republic that “it’s ludicrous that we are talking about this as a fundamental issue in the governor’s campaign” in regard to immigration and border security.

Since Joe Biden began office, nearly 5 million illegal aliens have entered our country over the southern border.

Nanos stated, “Katie Hobbs will supply whatever resources are required to keep you, my staff, and our state safe.”

Katie Hobbs is all about the fight. Our border will remain safe thanks to Katie Hobbs, said Hathaway.

While the two Democratic sheriffs are attempting to portray Hobbs as a supporter of border security, Lamb stated that she is not a supporter of border security and that if elected governor, she will not handle human and drug trafficking.

“Katie Hobbs has publicly opposed closing the holes in the border wall and backed repealing Title 42, which makes our work more difficult and puts us in danger. A governor who will do nothing to halt the tremendous drug and people trafficking at our southern border is not someone we can afford.”

In a May interview with Arizona Family stations KTVK and KPHO, Hobbs asserted that “title 42 is not working,” as reported by the Arizona Republic. Additionally, Brahm Resnik of 12 News questioned Hobbs in June about whether she would close a border “hole in Yuma” if elected. She responded by saying she was against it and that “if a wall was the answer, then the wall would be built.”

Lamb referred to Lake, a former Fox 10 Phoenix anchor who is supported by previous President Donald J. Trump, as “the only governor candidate that can assist law enforcement defend Arizona.”

“Kari Lake has a determined plan to assist in resolving the Border Crisis in Arizona. Her strategy calls for the declaration of an invasion at the Southern Border as well as the mobilization of the troops and resources required by Arizona to protect our communities from human trafficking and the lethal fentanyl poison that is causing daily devastation to Arizona families.”
