FBI Found Targeting Hospitalized Americans With Gun Control Scam

The FBI “worked in secret with hospitals and medical centers to remove U.S. citizens of their rights to buy, own, or even use weapons,” according to new evidence obtained by the Washington Examiner through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request from Gun Owners of America (GOA).

This news comes shortly after information regarding a form used by the FBI to obtain forfeiture of Second Amendment rights was made public thanks to a GOA FOIA request.

Ammoland.com issued a warning on September 7, 2022, according to Breitbart News, regarding the FBI activity in 2019. According to Ammoland, Americans were given the option to “voluntarily” renounce their Second Amendment rights via a “NICS Indices Self-Submission Form,” but there was no provision for how the rights could be recovered.

The Daily Caller later noted that the FOIA request revealed the FBI actually took the paperwork to the homes of several Americans, offering those people the choice of reneging on their Second Amendment rights: “GOA responded to Ammoland’s warning by filing the FOIA.”

“According to FBI papers obtained through the Freedom of Information Act by the gun rights organization GOA, the forms were distributed by the FBI to individuals at their homes and in other secret locations.”

The confidential documents, which seek signatories to certify that they are either a “risk” to themselves or others or lack “mental competence adequately to contract or control” their life, were filled out by at least 15 persons between 2016 and 2019.

The Washington Examiner now notes that by actually using the forms in connection with some hospital stays, the usage of the forms extended beyond simply visiting some Americans’ homes.

“In New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Delaware, and Oklahoma,” for instance, “Facilities employed the firearms forms and provided signature records to the FBI. The documents date back to 2011 and 2019, the year the FBI claimed it stopped using them.”

An Oklahoma “medical practitioner” signed the form for use in 2011 in November of that year and added “their state license number.” According to The Washington Examiner, “Oklahoma’s Northwest Center for Behavioral Health, a mental health clinic,” submitted the paperwork to the FBI.

Rep. Andrew Clyde (R) reacted to the newest disclosures surrounding the FBI’s efforts to assist individuals to surrender Second Amendment rights: “Make no mistake – the FBI is weaponizing NICS paperwork to achieve the Left’s destructive mission of shredding our Second Amendment liberty and disarming our country. All unelected, anti-gun officials implicated in compelling Americans to give up their constitutional right to keep and bear arms must be held accountable by Congress, which should launch a comprehensive investigation into this alarming issue.”
