Google AI Accuses Senator: A Tech Bias Scandal

Something is deeply wrong when a company as powerful as Google allows its technology to spread lies about innocent people—and then acts like it is not their problem. That is what we are seeing today with the latest disturbing news: Senator Marsha Blackburn, a strong conservative voice from Tennessee, has been defamed by Google’s artificial intelligence program. This is not a mistake. It is part of a dangerous pattern of bias and neglect from Big Tech.

Senator Blackburn recently wrote a letter to Google’s CEO, Sundar Pichai, after discovering that their AI program, known as Gemma, falsely accused her of being a sexual predator. That is not just a lie—it is a cruel and damaging attack on her character. And she is not alone. Other conservatives, like activist Robby Starbuck, have also been smeared by this same AI model with false and disgusting claims.

Google’s excuse? They say it was a “technical issue.” That is not good enough. When a company builds a tool that can be downloaded and used by over 200 million people, they have a responsibility to make sure it does not destroy lives with complete fabrications. Yet Google allowed this to happen. Worse, they knew it was happening and did nothing until they were caught.

Senator Blackburn called it what it is: a catastrophic failure of oversight. She pointed out that simply removing Gemma from Google’s AI Studio doesn’t solve the problem. Developers have already taken this flawed program and spread it across countless platforms. It is still active, still being used, and still able to lie about people. The damage continues.

What makes this even more frustrating is that Google has already shown they can control what their AI does. When the same question was asked to a different Google AI model called Gemini, it refused to make the same false claims. That proves something important: this is not just a flaw in the technology. It is a result of how Google chose to design and deploy it.

This is not the first time we have seen this kind of bias. For years, conservatives have been censored, shadow-banned, and silenced by Big Tech platforms that lean far to the left. Now, with the rise of artificial intelligence, the danger is even greater. These tools are being used to shape public opinion, rewrite history, and in this case, to defame and destroy reputations.

Senator Blackburn is right to demand that Google shut these models down until they can be trusted. Americans deserve better. We deserve technology that is fair, honest, and safe. We do not need machines that push lies and attack people just because they hold traditional values or support conservative causes.

This is about more than one senator. It is about the future of truth in the digital age. If Google and other tech giants are allowed to keep spreading falsehoods without consequences, then no one is safe. Today it’s Marsha Blackburn. Tomorrow, it could be you, your pastor, or your child’s teacher.

President Trump has spoken many times about the need to hold Big Tech accountable. Under his leadership, we have a chance to restore order and protect free speech from the out-of-control power of Silicon Valley. But we also need strong voices in Congress, like Senator Blackburn, who are willing to take a stand—even when it makes the elites uncomfortable.

We must not let this moment pass. The American people must demand answers and action. Google must not be allowed to sweep this under the rug. They must fix their systems, admit their mistakes, and stop enabling tools that smear conservatives. The truth is not a glitch. It is a value we must defend.

If we are to preserve our Republic and the moral foundation that holds it together, we must ensure that truth is not sacrificed on the altar of convenience or political bias. Let us stand with Senator Blackburn and say, “Enough is enough.”
