Similar Somali fraud rings have now been exposed in six states and Washington, DC. Everywhere the Somalis concentrate, they’re running fake daycares, fake home healthcare businesses, and fake non-emergency medical transport businesses. This puts the Trump administration between a rock and a hard place, which we’ll explain below. Fortunately, a GOP Senator has stepped up to the plate by proposing a bill that would make it much easier to denaturalize and deport these people.
In addition to the fraud scandal that ended Tim Walz’s political career in Minnesota, Somali fraud rings have now been uncovered in Ohio, Oregon, Virginia, Maine, California, and DC. The nationwide federal investigation is just getting started. More of these Somali Medicaid scams are expected to be found in other states.
The fact that this scandal tanked Tim Walz’s political ambitions tells us a lot. The internal polling must be brutal. Forget about the liberal white ladies hurling themselves in front of ICE agents to rescue Somali child molesters from deportation. The real question is, how are people going to vote in 2026 because of this scandal? Republicans, Independents, and probably a lot of Democrats are furious about this.
These foreign scumbags are ripping us off massively, and the American people want them ALL deported. Not just the scammers and pickpockets—ALL of them have to go back. They’ve abused our national generosity too much.
The problem is that the Clinton, Bush II, and Obama administrations all handed out US citizenship papers to the Somalis like candy for 30 years. The vast majority of Somalis who came here as refugees are now “paper Americans.”
And the Trump administration cannot deport American citizens, no matter how much Pam Grier annoys us on The View.
That’s the problem.
Eric Schmitt, the amazing Republican MAGA Senator from Missouri, has proposed a solution. Schmitt has introduced the Stop Citizenship Abuse and Misrepresentation (SCAM) Act in the Senate. The bill would expand federal denaturalization authority, to make it easier to kick foreign scammers out even after they gain US citizenship.
The 1965 Immigration Act gave the Executive branch authority to denaturalize a US citizen for a “crime of moral turpitude.” That’s a deliberately vague term. The courts can’t even decide what constitutes a crime of moral turpitude most of the time. Your definition is probably different than mine.
This is why it’s nearly impossible for the federal government to denaturalize even the most heinous foreigners who have paper citizenship. We can’t even kick the wife of Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán, the convicted drug cartel kingpin, out of the country because she’s an “American” on paper.
Schmitt’s proposal gets into specifics on the types of crimes that qualify for denaturalization, eliminating the “moral turpitude” nonsense. They include welfare fraud exceeding $10,000, any aggravated felony, espionage, and joining foreign terrorist groups, gangs, or cartels. That should cover nearly every Somali in the US who has paper citizenship.
Because our stupid federal government imported entire villages from Somalia into the US, they’ve simply reformed their original tribal gangs here. If you doubt this, just hang out at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota, for five minutes (if you dare).
Under current law, a paper American can only be denaturalized if they committed one of those moral turpitude crimes during the citizenship application window. That’s only five years.
Schmitt’s legislation would expand that window to ten years prior to gaining citizenship. That should cover nearly every Somali in the United States, along with any other foreign blocs that are ripping us off.
Schmitt says his bill is about protecting the sanctity of American citizenship.
“The rampant fraud uncovered in Minnesota must be a wakeup call,” stated Schmitt. “People who commit felony fraud, serious felonies, or join terrorist organizations like drug cartels shortly after taking their citizenship oaths fail to uphold the basic standards of citizenship. They must be denaturalized because they have proven they never met the requirements for the great honor of American citizenship in the first place.”
Amen! The question now is whether the Republican Senate will have the courage to pass the bill. This isn’t just another 80-20 issue for the Trump administration. People are furious at the Somalis. It could be a 95-5 issue if anyone did some honest polling on it. President Trump wants these foreign scammers gone, but his hands are currently tied. Let’s hope the Republican-controlled Senate does the right thing for once.
