Yes, I agree.
This leads us to ABC’s consistently snarky, sometimes racist, and astoundingly hypocritical TV hit, “The View.”
Benito Mussolini, the fascist dictator of Italy during World War II, was brought up by the Trump-hating co-hosts of “The View” this week, who said that Republicans desire to live in a dictatorship similar to Mussolini’s. The eventual result for the previous president might be similar to that of Mussolini, who was “hung… upside down in a square,” the attractive women said, with straight faces no less, despite Trump’s commitment to rein in the Environmental Protection Agency.
How shrewd.
The segment, however, began with a clip from Donald Trump’s town hall talk with Sean Hannity this week, during which the former president claimed to have received a letter implying he is the subject of a criminal probe by a grand jury looking into his alleged attempts to obstruct the orderly transfer of power following the 2020 election. This is Trump.
“It worries me for you and for everyone in this incredibly full crowd. Consider that I received the letter this week. They haven’t ever, to my knowledge, delivered a letter on a Sunday evening. And they’re hurrying because they desire to meddle — it’s electoral meddling. It’s electoral meddling, which has never been carried out in our country’s history and is disgraceful.”
Welp, that’s all it took for “The View” geniuses to start ranting about Trump’s totalitarian behavior. Joy Behar even became irritated more than usual at Trump’s usage of the word “country.”
