Pelosi Reveals Kamala’s Underhanded Move To Push Biden Out

Nancy Pelosi, the former speaker of the House, still says she didn’t directly ask President Joe Biden to drop his re-election bid. Instead, she says she wanted an “open process” to find someone to replace him on the ticket.

“The choice of how to move forward was his, and I respect that choice. The American people really admire how selfless he is, and I hope that the response from them makes him feel good too,” she told the Wall Street Journal about Biden in a recent interview.

The 84-year-old woman running for re-election stood by what she did and praised Vice President Kamala Harris for seizing the chance that came up when the president said he was stepping down.

“An open process was important to many of us who were worried about the election. Anyone could have joined, it was an open process,” Pelosi said.

“She was politically smart to take advantage of the fact that the president backed her and shut down—no, she won the nomination,” she said of Harris, who won the nomination even though she didn’t get any primary votes.

The head of the Democrats said, “But anyone else could have gotten in.”

She said that the Democratic National Convention in Chicago this week, which would have given Biden the nod, was “different” from what people thought it would be.

People had different ideas about the gathering a month ago, but Pelosi told the WSJ that it would be a huge success and that the credit “goes to the president.”

In fact, the event has mostly moved on from the president, whom many people think was treated badly on Monday when he was supposed to give his goodbye speech.

Pelosi has said again and again that she had nothing to do with any effort to put pressure on Biden. This week, she told CNN’s Jake Tapper that she did what she “had to do” for the party.

“What do you know?” Pelosi said. “I had to do what I needed to do. He chose what was best for the country. I was not worried about the president but about his campaign.”
