On Friday, Sarah Palin announced her candidacy for the open congressional seat formerly occupied by Don Young (R-Alaska), according to a press release.
According to certain sources who spoke to Fox News, it was former Pres. Donald Trump who urged 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin to dive in.
According to this report, “Donald Trump suggested that Sarah Palin should pursue a political comeback and run for Congress.”
“Two sources told Fox News that John McCain’s 2008 running-mate discussed submitting paperwork to run for Alaska’s vacant Congressional seat with Donald Trump.”
As Nik Arama reported on Saturday, at a Michigan rally, Trump urged his supporters to elect “America First Republicans.”
“The election this November is quite straightforward: if you want high crime, high costs, high taxes, rampant corruption, and poor governance, choose the radical Democrats. If you want a nation that is powerful, independent, safe, and secure in the future, you must choose America First Republicans.”
So, it’s no surprise that Trump has now made his backing for former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin official.
Trump’s full endorsement of Palin for her congressional campaign was announced in a press release just before midnight Sunday.
It read:
“Wonderful patriot, Sarah Palin of Alaska, has just declared her candidacy for the US House of Representatives, and she will be a true America First warrior on the ballot to replace Don Young. Many were shocked when Sarah early in 2016 endorsed me; we won big. Now it’s my turn!”
“Sarah has consistently fought for Alaska’s ideals, energy, jobs, and wonderful people. She was one of the most well-liked Governors because she battled corruption both in State Government and the Fake News Media.”
Despite the fact that she had to deal with some truly repulsive, stupid, and jealous individuals within the campaign, Sarah lifted the McCain presidential campaign out of the dumps. They wanted to destroy her, but she didn’t let it happen.
“Sarah Palin is a strong and intelligent woman who will never back down, and I am proud to offer my Complete & Total Endorsement to her and tell all Republicans that they should unite behind this fantastic individual and her campaign to put America first!”
The endorsement will be worth observing, especially whether or not Donald Trump will campaign in Alaska for Palin. As the saying goes, keep an eye on it!
