After the Supreme Court’s decision to reverse Roe v. Wade was leaked, former President Trump called for an inquiry into “the organized and focused effort” to intimidate the justices.
On Saturday evening in Mendon, Illinois, Donald Trump praised the Supreme Court for its recent decisions that overturned Roe v. Wade and invalidated New York’s right-cause demand for concealed carry permits as being unconstitutional.
After going into detail about Roe’s repeal, he praised the Supreme Court’s ruling in New York State Rifle and Pistol Association v. Bruen as “a fantastic victory” for Second Amendment advocates.
President Trump praised the Supreme Court Justices for “standing strong in the face of outrageous threats and even physical violence.”
Pro-abortion extremists demonstrated in front of the homes of conservative Justices after the Court’s decision to reverse Roe was leaked in May. One protest in Kavanaugh’s neighborhood was reportedly led by a neighbor.
After a man was arrested for attempting to murder Justice Brett Kavanaugh, the threats against the Justices became more real.
“And I’d especially like to commend the justices for their unwavering courage in the face of outrageous threats and even violence. You’ve been following what’s been going on. There has never been a time like this,” Trump said, adding:
“The recent months’ left-wing terror campaign aimed at the Supreme Court is without precedence in American history. The attempted assassination of Justice Kavanaugh, the unlawful intimidation of Justice’s residents, and the extreme left-wing violent terrorist assaults on pro-life centers was a deliberate assault on our democracy.”
According to the former leader, these measures must be investigated as “organized and concentrated” intimidation efforts.
“That’s what they should be looking into.” This was a planned and concentrated effort to intimidate the court and interfere with its judgments. However, the justices refused to cower before these extremists and terrorists, despite the fact that they were threatened. Thank you very much and Congratulations.
President Trump renewed his criticism of the Democrat Party’s leadership, calling it “pathetic” for not speaking out strongly against such threats targeted at Supreme Court justices.
“The Democrat Party’s leaders have yet to condemn the violence and threats in a forceful manner, nor have they held the offenders accountable,” Trump observed.
