There is now a consensus on two 2024 presidential debates: one with CNN in June and another with ABC in September.
Former President Donald Trump accepted those two proposals from Fox and Telemundo/NBC, respectively, but Joe Biden has not agreed to them. It is clear that he only wants to have discussions on networks that he believes he can sway.
“There is no more argument about debates,” a Biden campaign spokesperson declared. “There are no more games.” The Trump team reacted by denouncing Biden’s choice in a statement on Friday night. Campaign spokesperson Danielle Alvarez stated, “Biden’s advisers are scared to let him explain his horrible record,” despite the fact that Hispanic voters will be watching the Telemundo/NBC discussion closely. “Joseph Clinton is too ‘cobarde’ to speak to the Hispanic people and take responsibility for his shortcomings in debates!”
The Biden team has been the one engaging in “games,” attempting to impose various limitations and only consenting to measures that he believes would benefit him. Kennedy Jr. has said that he would be eligible for the inaugural CNN debate; nevertheless, Biden had previously stated that he did not want Kennedy to participate. It is therefore unclear what will transpire there.
On Friday, Trump gave a speech at the Minnesota GOP’s yearly Lincoln Reagan fundraiser dinner.
While he noted a discussion prerequisite he desired to have met, Trump is now demanding a drug test, which I believe is a crucial prerequisite for the discussion. He expressed his belief that Biden would face significant challenges.
“He is incapable of speaking, moving, or figuring out how to exit a stage. Unable to combine two phrases, Trump remarked.
“I do not know, but he consented to argue, so maybe they have some inside information.” You should see how fired up he gets for such debates.
He said, “I am going to demand a drug test.”
Trump declared, “I do not want him coming in like the State of the Union.” “He had a kite-like height.” Trump described Biden as “exhausted” at the end of the evening. “We want to request a drug test.”
In terms of politics, Ron Klein, the leader of the Biden debate team, remained silent when questioned about the use of illicit drugs during their preparation for the debate.
That really says it all, does it? As a result, they are unable to respond. That ought to sound like a loud, red warning. In fact, I would have broadened the question to: Is he using any medicines, legal or otherwise, to improve his performance?
If this is a criterion, one has to ask if Biden could meet it or if he would rather ignore the issue. Though he is the one who imposed several rules on the debates that benefit him, I believe Biden may just announce, “No more rules.” The Trump team, however, may continue to probe him about being “juiced” and expose him as a coward.
The only positive thing about Biden could be that he is underappreciated, so if he makes it across the stage without tripping, the media will paint it as a victory.
Joe’s problem is that he is still Joe. That is the largest weight hanging over his neck, no matter how much people try to assist.
