A Reuters story says that Iran fired about 200 missiles at Israel on Tuesday in reaction to the deaths of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran in late July and Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in Lebanon last week.
“The World is on fire and spinning out of control,” Trump said in a speech as the attack looked like it was about to happen. “No one is in charge of running the country. Joe Biden isn’t there as President and Kamala Harris isn’t there as Vice President because she’s too busy raising money in San Francisco.”
“No one is in charge, and it’s not even clear whether Biden or Kamala is more lost. Neither of them knows what’s going on,” he said.
“It was very easy to control Iran when I was president. They were desperate for money, locked up, and ready to make a deal at any cost. Kamala gave them a lot of American money, and since then, they’ve been spreading terror all over the world and tearing the Middle East apart,” Trump said.
The 45th president also said, “It’s not a surprise that Iran really wants Kamala Harris to be president. They know that as long as she’s in charge, they can take advantage of America.”
Another thing the Trump team did was post a clip on X from an interview Harris did with CBS News in late October 2023. In it, she said that her advice to Iran was simple: “Don’t.” To put it another way, don’t start a regional war after Iran-backed Hamas attacked Israel on October 7.
“This diplomacy plan did not work out,” the campaign said.
Jake Sullivan, the national security director for the White House, told reporters on Tuesday that U.S. Navy destroyers in the area helped Israel shoot down Iranian rockets that were coming at it.
He also said that Biden and Harris were in the White House Situation Room and watched the attack.
