This week, a comedian confronted AOC on the Capitol steps, making remarks about her being his “favorite big booty Latina” and referring to her as “sexy.” She flashed him a peace sign and appeared to like the attention in the video.
Someone on her staff apparently informed her that the comedian was an “extremist” after the fact. As a result, AOC’s mood altered significantly when she took to social media to express how awful and unacceptable this kind of public harassment is.
I posted about a deeply disgusting incident that happened today on the Capitol steps, but took it down bc it’s clearly someone seeking extremist fame.
It’s just a bummer to work in an institution that openly allowed this, but talking about it only invites more. Just really sad.

The sheer volume of cringe is incredible. AOC comes from a wealthy family. She went to Yorktown High School in a white-majority suburb of New York City. Then she attended Boston University. It’s hilarious to watch her attempt to portray herself as if she’d just come off the streets of Queens. I’m also sure she was not on her way “to deck him” because she posed and gave the peace sign. AOC will say anything to get her supporters riled up, and they are always eager to comply.
I didn’t see the original tweet she deleted, but I’m seeing responses blaming her for misrepresenting what the comedian stated, and subsequently covering her tracks once he published the video. It’s odd that a congressman is threatening physical violence against individuals who say things to her in a public place, regardless of his obvious trolling. That’s especially true when you consider that he’s clearly taunting her to elicit the specific response she gave him on Twitter.
That is why I’m going to the heart of the matter. Just recently, AOC mocked the public abuse that drove Kavanaugh out of a Washington restaurant.
To summarize, it’s perfectly acceptable for demonstrators to harass a Supreme Court justice in public, forcing him to flee out the back entrance of a restaurant. That’s just democracy in action, and AOC is all for it. In fact, she’ll make fun of anybody who expresses an opinion against it. However, if a comedian makes jokes about her on the Capitol steps, she asks that law enforcement arrest him while she gets enraged at the notion that such open protest is permissible.
