WW3 Approaches – Neocons Push For War

Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina proposed a motion, characterizing any assault against Israel by the terrorist Lebanese group Hezbollah as an act of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

As stated in the resolution, the Senate “states that the President should leave all options open, including the use of military action, in order to dissuade Hezbollah and the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

The decision further demands that Congress and the President use “all diplomatic tools and power projection capabilities” to hold Iran and Hezbollah accountable for “any adverse impacts on the people of Lebanon that result from an attack on the State of Israel by Hezbollah.”

Additionally, Graham proposed the Authorization for Use of Military Force, which would permit the US Armed Forces to launch an assault on Iran on the grounds that the country is purportedly endangering US national security by developing nuclear weapons.

Graham stated that the resolution would come into effect if the president came to the conclusion that Iran had nuclear weapons-grade enriched uranium and a delivery system capable of delivering a nuclear weapon against the United States, Israel, or other allies.

“Iran will not stop unless someone orders them to stop,” Graham told reporters on July 31 during a conference call. “They should impose red lines on their nuclear program now.”

Graham declared that “it is a certainty” that Iran will obtain a nuclear weapon in a matter of weeks or months if the US doesn’t adopt harsh tactics.

Graham called the assessment from the Director of National Intelligence about Iran’s nuclear program’s state “unnerving.”

Graham noted, “Their capacity to enrich to weapons grade is now a question of weeks, not months.” “Now that they have mastered the art of weaponization, Congress needs to speak up in favor of the appropriate countermeasure.”

Graham believes Iran, as well as the US and Israel, must respond to Hezbollah’s increasing acts.

Graham said that the United States needs to strike vital targets, such as Iranian oil plants.

He declared, “My aim is that Hezbollah would have one less refinery than they do now if they strike Israel.” It’s time to take the Ayatollah to task financially. Oil refineries are the backbone of his government. Without those refineries, the ability to finance terrorist groups would be impossible.

Graham stated, “Israel is not the bad guy here,” and that it’s time to make Iran accountable for its proxies. Graham emphasized that “Hezbollah was the agent of the attack; on October 7, the Iranians slaughtered 1,200 Jews through Hamas.” Thus, our friends in Israel should strike hard, strike deadly, and include Iran on their list of targets if they are attacked by Hezbollah.

Graham’s ultimate goal is to make sure Iran pays a price for its purported deployment of proxies in Lebanon.

Graham is essentially advocating for the initiation of a conflict with Iran. It’s time to deal with things as they are. America Last’s Lindsey Graham is a warhawk.

Indeed, the Islamic Republic of Iran is not a government that Westerners ought to model themselves after. However, given the current context in which the US’s open southern border—which sees millions of migrants from the Global South every year—poses, the threat it poses to the country’s existence is hardly existential.

It’s time to move military resources to our southern border via the retraction of the American Empire and a cold shoulder to Graham and company.
