DeSantis Delivers Another Jarring Blow Against The Alt-Left

This week, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a bill that bans demonstrating outside someone’s home with the intention of disturbing those who live there.

On October 1, a new law will go into effect. If individuals stage a protest outside a home, police will give protesters a warning before moving to arrest them. Breaking the law is considered a second-degree misdemeanor.

“Unruly mobs should not be sent to private residences, as we saw with angry crowds in front of the Supreme Court justices’ houses,” DeSantis stated. “Those who live in residential areas will benefit from this legislation, and I am pleased to sign it into law.”

DeSantis is a Republican incumbent governor seeking re-election. He has established a strong reputation among conservatives. DeSantis was previously the congressman for Florida’s Sunshine State, serving in the House of Representatives before becoming governor.

Rep. Charlie Crist, one of the Dem candidates vying for the chance to compete against DeSantis during this year’s gubernatorial election, recently said that DeSantis is courting a “toothless, hard-right crowd.”

“Charlie was referring to the spineless, toothless, crowd that aids and abets DeSantis’s campaign to harm Floridians – the lawmakers, lobbyists, and special interests who bend to his wishes only caring about giving red meat for their base,” Crist’s press sec. Samantha Ramirez said in the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. “To say he meant anything else is rubbish.”

Crist served as governor of the state of Florida from 2007 to 2011, when he was elected as a Republican in 2006 and lost a 2010 Senate race as an independent. He then ran for governor as a Dem. in 2014 but lost to incumbent Gov. Rick Scott.

DeSantis has done something great here by taking away another one of the Democrats’ terrorism tactics that they use to attack and silence dessenting voices. We can only hope that soon such policies will go nationwide and liberals everywhere will have to resort to name calling and crying on Twitter to get their way. But who knows how it will end. The left always seems to get their way and this will probably end with the GOP backing down and giving up,
