Top Democrat Exposed For Suspicious Income Changes

According to Senate financial records he submitted on August 15, Georgia’s Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock’s income doubled after he was elected to the Senate, with more than half coming from book agreements and side jobs.

According to his financial filings, Warnock earned around $541,000 in 2021 and received over $364,000 from outside sources in addition to his $174,000 Senate pay. The Georgia Democrat received roughly double his prior income from these outside sources, which was $221,602 in 2020, according to the Washington Free Beacon.

According to the filings, Warnock got $243,750 from Penguin Random House for his book, which was released in June. In addition, Warnock received $120,964 from Ebenezer Baptist Church in 2021 for his work as senior pastor, which included a $7,417 monthly living allowance, according to the Free Beacon.

According to the Free Beacon, the senator used the majority of the church’s funds as a housing allowance to get around the Senate’s $29,000 outside income restriction. The former Republican Sen. Kelly Loeffler was accused by Warnock of “using the people’s office to profit yourself” during the Georgia Senate runoff race in 2020.

During this election cycle, Warnock also received tens of thousands of dollars in campaign contributions from PACs supported by huge companies. While pledging not to do so, the senator asserts that he has “never received a dollar of corporate PAC money.”

In November, Warnock will compete against former NFL player and Republican candidate Herschel Walker. According to the average of FiveThirtyEight polls, the senator has a two-point advantage against Walker.

A request for response from the Daily Caller News Foundation was not immediately met by Warnock’s office.
