With the help of an old photo of herself, Bill Clinton, and Chelsea Clinton smiling with Donald Duck, former first lady Hillary Clinton is making fun of Republicans over their current legal dispute with Disney.
She tweeted on Tuesday, “I know whose side I’m on as Republicans launch war on Disney.”
Bob Iger, the CEO of Disney, and Hillary Clinton are political allies. Iger sponsored opulent Hollywood fundraisers for Clinton’s 2016 campaign for president, which she ended up losing to President Donald Trump.
In reality, Disney was the one to throw the first blow last year when it gave in to a relatively little group of extremist-left staff members who demanded that the organization publicly denounce Florida’s anti-grooming law, and the Rights of Parents in Education act. Hillary Clinton falsely claimed in her tweet that Republicans had declared war on Disney.
The regulation, known in the media as “Don’t Say Gay,” shields young children from extreme gender and sexual indoctrination in schools and from transgender ideology.
Even after it had been approved, The Walt Disney Company vowed to oppose the bill, calling it a “challenge to the basic human rights.”
As a result, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) revoked Disney’s important right of self-governance in the Orlando region, which the business has enjoyed for over 50 years.
DeSantis’ actions have since been criticized by Disney CEO Bob Iger as being “anti-business” as well as “anti-Florida.”
Disney’s aggressive attempt to sneak woke messaging into its entertainment geared at children has escalated the conflict into a bigger societal conflict. The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder, an animated children’s series on Disney+, promoted reparations for slavery by asserting in a recent episode that America was built on “white supremacy” and “still has not made amends” for its racism.
Other Disney programs have supported gender nonconformity and transgenderism.
