Worst Criminals Imaginable Flood Through Southern Border

Chief Patrol Agent Robert Danley said in a post on Wednesday that since October 2023, the US Border Patrol’s Del Rio Sector has arrested 54 convicted sexual predators.

The article stated that over 50 individuals who were arrested had been found guilty of sexual offenses against minors.

Since October 1, 2023, Del Rio Sector Border Patrol personnel have detained 54 convicted sexual offenders who crossed the border illegally and attempted to evade the law. In defending our neighborhoods and securing our border, our agents are unwavering,” Danley stated.

While crossing the border with a gang of illegal immigrants who were trying to elude law enforcement, one of the sex offenders who was detained was apprehended.

The Del Rio Sector spans 245 kilometers in Texas along the Rio Grande and Lake Amistad. The sector is responsible for 55,063 square miles overall.

The Del Rio Sector released a weekly summary on Tuesday, covering the period from March 31 to April 6. During that time, border patrol agents recorded 1,956 arrests, 472 escapes, 28 incidents of smuggling, and 4 rescues. The nine offenders that the agents came across consisted of one person claiming bogus citizenship, three people with DUIs, and five people who tried unlawful re-entry. The previous week saw 2,240 arrests of illegal immigrants and 769 escapees, according to Border Patrol personnel in the region.

During the first five months of the 2024 fiscal year, there were over 183,000 interactions with illegal migrants in the industry. Approximately 99,000 of the interactions included lone adults, 75,000 involved families, and 8,700 involved unaccompanied minors.

Within its 125,500 square mile El Paso Sector, the Border Patrol detained 12 migrants in February who had prior felony records.

“El Paso Sector agents come across aggravated felons, such as child predators, drug dealers, and sex offenders, among the migrants with criminal convictions.” Illegal gun ownership, assault, domestic abuse, and burglary are all additional charges. According to Customs and Border Protection, “some of the migrants encountered have links with gangs or Mexican drug cartels.”

“El Paso Sector agents work relentlessly to defend our border communities,” said El Paso Sector Chief Patrol Agent Anthony Scott Good in a recent statement. Our officers often encounter individuals who are illegally entering the country but have already undergone deportation because of their criminal records.

“Most of the time, these people are aware that they might end up behind bars again if they are detained by Border Patrol,” Good said. As a result, they attempt to avoid arrest. We are still collaborating with the U.S. Attorney’s Office to bring these offenders to justice.
