Trump Ally Goes To Jail, But Not Before Revealing A BIG Truth
Steve Bannon did not receive the response he was expecting. The US Supreme Court ruled on Friday that Steve Bannon must return to prison and begin serving his four-month sentence for contempt of Congress starting Monday, despite his last-minute request for release while his case is under appeal.

From CNBC:

“On Friday, the Supreme Court turned down a desperate attempt by former Trump White House strategist Steve Bannon to avoid going to jail the following week while he filed an appeal against his conviction for ignoring a subpoena from a House committee looking into the disturbance that occurred on January 6, 2021, in the United States Capitol. Beginning on Monday, Bannon, 70, will serve a four-month jail sentence for contempt of Congress.

“On Friday, the Chief Justice [John Roberts] referred Bannon’s motion for release pending appeal to the Court, and the Court denied it,” said the Supreme Court in an unsigned, one-sentence decision.

The ruling follows the denial of a comparable motion earlier in June by an appeals court.

Elizabeth Prelogar, the Solicitor General, contended before the Supreme Court that Bannon’s legal representatives had to demonstrate that his case would be reversed upon appeal. The justices might have rejected the request based on this convincing argument.

However, Bannon has a busy schedule ahead of him, according to this itinerary that an X user shared:

Does that imply that on Monday, while behind bars, he will release his podcast? The writing style leaves room for interpretation.

Bannon will undoubtedly appear in an interview with Jonathan Karl on ABC’s “This Week” in the morning, scheduled to air on Sunday.

Karl inquired about Bannon’s emotions following his jail report on Monday, as depicted in the preview video. Bannon, who referred to himself as a “political prisoner,” lamented the political prosecution of him for his refusal to appear before the January 6th Committee, but he was able to see the bright side:

“I’m a political prisoner.” I’m thrilled about it. I promise not to have my voice silenced while I’m there. Nancy Pelosi and Merrick Garland treat me like a political prisoner. Hey, guess what? My incarceration was worthwhile if it took me being in prison to finally get the House to act and begin delegitimizing the bogus J6 Committee.”

In a snippet of his last podcast show before going to prison on Friday, conservative author Carol Swain wishes him well. Whatever one’s feelings toward Bannon, she concluded with a line that will strike a chord with many:
