Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) is laying down the facts: Hispanic voters are rallying behind former President Trump, and this surge could mean big wins for Republicans across the board. Luna believes that Trump’s rising popularity among Hispanic voters, especially in key battleground states like Arizona and Nevada, could turn Election Day into a red wave from the White House to Congress. As she put it on Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo, “I think we’re in luck; we’re going to have a juggernaut meeting. We’ll have the House, the Senate, and the White House, and if that happens, Maria, it’s going to be a great day for America the next day.”
Luna pointed to Trump’s focused appeal to Hispanic voters, particularly his stance on securing the southern border—a top issue among voters who want stability and safety. Trump’s event last month with Hispanic supporters put the focus squarely on border security and economic opportunity. It’s clear that Democrats have underestimated how much common-sense policies resonate with Hispanic communities that value hard work, family, and security. Luna’s prediction? Hispanic voters turning out in droves for Trump will trickle down to GOP candidates across the ballot.
When asked about Republicans’ chances of flipping the Senate and expanding their House majority, Luna admitted it would be tight. The “legacy media” is working overtime in these traditionally blue areas, she noted, but she’s confident that if Republicans stick to their message, they can sway independents. And that’s exactly what’s happening in her own race against Democrat Whitney Fox. According to Luna, her internal polls show her leading despite recent tensions. Luna also mentioned that her campaign manager was assaulted by one of Fox’s supporters—an incident she linked to the divisive rhetoric from Democrats like Kamala Harris and Fox herself. “What we’re finding right now is because of the polarized media, largely due to the rhetoric that Kamala Harris and Whitney Fox have been putting out, people are getting hurt,” Luna said.
Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) chimed in last month, pointing out that Democrats are “losing their minds” over the GOP’s gains with minority voters. Scott noted that Hispanic and Black voters are gravitating toward Trump because they want a president who can handle the global stage without, as he put it, “falling asleep.” It’s a far cry from the Democrats’ standard talking points, which seem more focused on divisive rhetoric than actual results.
In a last-ditch effort to shore up Hispanic support, Harris made her way to Arizona, a border state, accusing her opponents of “insulting Latinos” and “scapegoating immigrants.” But this strategy doesn’t seem to be gaining traction. After all, who’s really bringing hate and division here? Trump’s message resonates because it’s based on tangible issues that matter to real people—securing the border, supporting the economy, and standing strong on the global stage. Meanwhile, the Democrats’ fear-mongering just isn’t cutting it anymore.
For Republicans, this election isn’t just about winning seats; it’s about winning back the trust of Americans who want real solutions. Luna and her GOP colleagues know that the Hispanic community is ready for change, ready for strength, and ready for leadership that puts America first.
