Radical Left Targets Home Depot in Chaotic Stunt

The protest at a Home Depot store in Monrovia, California, may look like a simple stunt—people lining up to buy and return 17-cent ice scrapers—but it’s actually part of a much larger and more dangerous trend. It’s the latest attempt by the radical Left to undermine law enforcement, open our borders, and bully American businesses into abandoning their duty to follow the law. These so-called “buy-in” protests are nothing but organized disruptions designed to send a clear message: that enforcing immigration laws is no longer acceptable in today’s politically correct culture.

Let us be clear: U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is a lawful agency tasked with upholding the immigration laws of our nation. Under President Trump’s leadership, ICE has been restored to its rightful role—protecting American communities, preserving jobs for citizens, and ensuring that those who enter our country do so legally and respectfully. For years, the Left has tried to demonize ICE, painting federal agents as villains for simply doing their jobs. This protest is just another chapter in that shameful story.

The protesters, reportedly nearly 100 in number, clogged the store’s checkout lines by purchasing cheap ice scrapers and then immediately returning them. Their goal? Not to make a point through dialogue or debate, but to disrupt commerce, sow chaos, and punish a business that they claim is complicit in ICE’s efforts. But Home Depot has repeatedly stated that it does not coordinate with ICE or Border Patrol and is not informed when operations take place near or within their stores. Still, that hasn’t stopped the activists from launching attacks based on rumor and emotion rather than fact.

This behavior is nothing new. It’s rooted in the same left-wing ideology that fuels open border policies, sanctuary cities, and a general disrespect for the rule of law. These protesters are not interested in protecting workers or improving conditions—they are interested in tearing down the very systems that keep this country safe and orderly. They believe that any enforcement of our immigration laws is cruel, and they are willing to target job creators like Home Depot to make their point.

Let’s not forget the broader context. For decades, Home Depot has been a pillar of American enterprise. It provides jobs to thousands and serves millions of customers with the tools they need to build their homes, businesses, and lives. Now, because it happens to be a place where day laborers gather, it’s being treated like a villain. That’s not justice—it’s intimidation.

The tragic death of Carlos Roberto Montoya Valdez, who reportedly died while running from ICE agents, is being used as a rallying cry by these activists. While any loss of life is heartbreaking, it’s dishonest to blame ICE or Home Depot for a man’s decision to flee from lawful authorities. Personal responsibility matters. If we allow emotions to override the rule of law, we will lose the very foundation of our nation.

It’s time for ordinary Americans to stand up against this nonsense. We must support law enforcement, including ICE, and we must defend businesses like Home Depot that are being unfairly targeted. These protests are not about justice—they are about forcing a radical, lawless agenda down the throats of the American people.

President Trump has made it clear that restoring law and order is a top priority. Unlike the previous administration, which allowed chaos to fester at our borders and turned a blind eye to illegal activity, this administration stands firmly with the men and women who put on the uniform and defend our laws.

There is no shame in enforcing immigration laws. There is no shame in expecting that people who come to our country do so legally. And there is no shame in standing by our businesses when they are under attack for simply doing the right thing.

The Left can keep buying and returning their ice scrapers. But the American people are not buying their lies. We believe in law. We believe in order. And we believe in the United States of America.
