When the government actually focuses on protecting the innocent—rather than pushing woke agendas or weaponizing agencies against political opponents—the results can be extraordinary. Case in point: President Trump’s Justice Department has just accomplished one of the most decisive and far-reaching blows against online child exploitation in American history. It’s called Operation Grayskull, and every American should hear about it.
This international crackdown, led by the Trump administration’s Justice Department and the FBI, didn’t just scratch the surface of the dark web—it went straight into the heart of a depraved, global network trafficking in the most evil content imaginable. Over 120,000 users were registered across four major dark web platforms that specialized in violent child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Millions of files. Countless victims. But thanks to relentless law enforcement work, those sites are now gone—and 18 predators are behind bars, serving over 300 years combined.
Let that sink in. While the media obsesses over fake controversies and political witch hunts, real work is being done by this administration to root out evil and bring justice to the most vulnerable: our children.
Among those now convicted is Thomas Peter Katsampes of Minnesota, a 52-year-old who wasn’t just a consumer of this filth—he was a staff member on one of these platforms, helping others traffic in CSAM, managing operations, and offering how-to guidance to fellow predators. He’s now serving over 20 years in federal prison, with lifetime supervision. He’ll never harm another child again.
And he’s not alone. William Michael Spearman of Alabama is serving life in prison. Joseph Addison Martin of Washington got 42 years. Keith David McIntosh of Michigan, with a prior conviction, was hit with 55 years. Selwyn David Rosenstein of Florida received 28 years and a six-figure restitution order to his victims.
These aren’t minor players. These are the worst of the worst—individuals who believed that the anonymity of the internet would shield them from justice. But they were wrong. As Acting Assistant Attorney General Matthew R. Galeotti put it, “You will not find safe haven, even on the dark web.” That’s the kind of leadership we need from our Justice Department—not performative gestures, but real action.
FBI Director Kash Patel was equally clear: “We’ve not only dismantled dangerous platforms on the dark web, but we’ve also brought key perpetrators to justice and delivered a powerful message: you cannot hide behind anonymity to harm children.” This is what the FBI should be doing—protecting children, not targeting parents at school board meetings or raiding pro-life activists.
Operation Grayskull wasn’t just a domestic victory. It involved coordination with law enforcement in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Estonia, Belgium, and South Africa. That’s the kind of global cooperation that actually matters—to shut down child exploitation networks, not to push climate alarmism or DEI nonsense on sovereign nations.
The contrast couldn’t be clearer. Under previous administrations, the DOJ too often looked the other way or got bogged down in bureaucracy. Under Trump, it’s a different story. When he says he’s committed to law and order, he means it. When he says he’ll protect America’s children, he proves it.
Let’s be blunt. This is the kind of operation that saves lives, rescues victims, and restores justice. It’s not flashy. It doesn’t make the nightly news. But it matters more than any press conference or political stunt. These predators destroyed lives. Now, they’re paying the price.
The media won’t celebrate this. The left won’t acknowledge it. But we will. Because this is what a functioning government looks like—one dedicated to protecting the innocent, punishing the guilty, and upholding moral clarity in a world that’s losing its way.
We should never forget the names of the criminals, but more importantly, we should never forget the courage of the law enforcement officers, the prosecutors, and the victims who stood up and said: enough. Operation Grayskull is a reminder that evil thrives in the shadows—but it cannot survive exposure to the light.
And with President Trump in charge, the light is shining brighter than ever.
