In a time when law and order must be upheld more than ever, we are again reminded of the dangers our federal agents face—not only from foreign threats, but from within our own borders. Three women, now indicted by a federal grand jury, have taken it upon themselves to stalk and harass a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent. Their actions went far beyond protest. They crossed into criminal behavior that put not only an officer’s life at risk, but also the safety of his family and neighbors.
According to the U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California, these women openly followed the ICE agent from his workplace in downtown Los Angeles all the way to his home. But they didn’t stop there. They livestreamed the entire act on social media, broadcasting his address and encouraging others to join them. This was not freedom of speech. This was targeted intimidation.
These women—Cynthia Raygoza of California, Ashleigh Brown of Colorado, and Sandra Carmona Samane, also of California—took it upon themselves to stir up a digital mob. They shouted to neighbors that the agent was “la migra,” a slur often used to target immigration officers in hostile environments. They told their viewers to come to his home. In effect, they tried to turn a quiet neighborhood into a political battlefield.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office has charged them each with conspiracy and for publicly releasing the personal information of a federal agent. These are serious crimes, and rightly so. Law enforcement officers, especially those in immigration enforcement, are on the front lines defending our country every day. They deserve our respect and protection—not harassment and exposure.
Ashleigh Brown, who is already facing charges in another case for assaulting a federal officer, is being held in custody. Sandra Samane has been released on bond, while Cynthia Raygoza remains at large. Authorities are searching for her now. Their actions are a direct attack on the structure of law and order in this country.
Let us be clear: when people target federal officers, they are not just attacking individuals—they are attacking the rule of law itself. ICE agents are tasked with enforcing immigration laws passed by Congress. These are laws meant to protect our borders and keep our communities safe. If someone disagrees with those laws, there are legal and peaceful ways to make their voices heard. But following an officer home, shouting to his neighbors, and encouraging online mobs to join in is not protest. It is lawlessness.
It is no secret that the radical left has been growing bolder in recent years. They are no longer content to shout in the streets or post online rants. They want to silence, shame, and intimidate anyone who does not bow to their agenda. This case is just the latest example of that dangerous trend.
Acting U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli said it best: “If you threaten, dox, or harm in any manner one of our agents or employees, you will face prosecution and prison time.” This kind of strong leadership is exactly what America needs. Under President Trump’s leadership, we now have a government that stands with our law enforcement officers and will not tolerate attacks against them.
We must remember who we are as a nation. We cannot allow mobs—whether online or in person—to undermine the rule of law. We must stand with our officers, our traditions, and our values. Those who seek to tear down the institutions that have kept America safe and free will find that this country still has the will to defend itself.
Let justice be served, and let this be a warning to others: if you target those who serve and protect our country, there will be consequences. That is how we preserve order. That is how we protect America.
