Trump Warns Of Possible Terrorist Attack

Former President Trump stated this week that the U.S. is “far more vulnerable to internal terrorist attacks compared to any other point in its history.” This came after a memo issued by the San Diego Field Office Intelligence Division of CBP warned that terrorists from Hamas, Hezbollah, and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) are likely to be found at the southern border, which is very porous.

“The United States is now BY FAR more vulnerable to insider terror attacks than at any previous point in its history due to the millions of people—mostly young men—that Crooked Joe Biden has permitted to enter the country through his absurd Open Borders Policy.” Trump said on Truth Social and ended with the word “MAGA!”

Trump’s announcement comes just a few weeks after the terrorist group Hamas attacked Israel and killed at least 1,400 people. A Customs and Border Protection (CBP) office in San Diego cautioned on October 20 that “people motivated by or responding to the present Israel-Hamas warfare may try to make their way into or out of the proximity of hostilities in the Middle East through circuitous travel across the southwestern border.”

“Some people who are ideological fighters, as well as mercenary soldiers of fortune, may try to hide the fact that they are traveling into or out of the United States to or from nations in the Middle East by way of Mexico,” according to part of the memo. It lists possible signs such as men who are of military age, military equipment, insignias, ties to Israel as well as the Palestinian territories, “regional affiliations,” and people who “don’t have a definite return plan.”

According to Breitbart News, people on the “Terrorist Watch List” who come to the U.S. illegally are on the rise since Biden took office:

“Over the past year, the DHS ‘has discovered 149 illegal aliens along the country’s northern and southern borders which were found to be among those named on the federal government’s nationwide Terrorist Watch List,'” said Breitbart News.

“Most of the border crossers who are on the Terrorist Watch List (146 of them) were seen at the southern border. That’s a rise of 7,350% in those kinds of meetings in comparison to Fiscal Year 2017.”

“A report from the House Homeland Security Committee, led by Representative Mark Green (R-TN), goes into more detail about this trend. It says that from Fiscal Year 2017 through Fiscal Year 2020, Border Patrol arrested only fourteen people with names that were listed on the Terrorist Watch List, with the majority of them trying to make their way across the southwest border.”

In the meantime, Republican Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) is writing to President Joe Biden’s DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on Oct. 18 to request information about the quantity of “special interest aliens” let into the country. This kind of person is called “a non-U.S. person who, as determined by an analysis of their patterns of travel, quite possibly presents a national security risk to the U.S. or its interests.”
