Elon Musk Exposes The Nasty Death Threats That Twitter Allows (Against Conservatives)

Elon Musk slammed Twitter, the social media network he recently agreed to purchase for $44 billion, after a creator of Libs of TikTok claimed she’d been sent dozens of death threats and yet Twitter failed to take any action against the accounts that sent them.

“I have now got around a dozen death threats, following extreme leftists claiming that I am a domestic terrorist extremist. Twitter has not deleted any of the threatening accounts.”

With that, Musk tweeted a response — one-word inquiry addressed to Twitter: “Why?”

As of Tuesday afternoon, Elon Musk’s response has more than 80,000 likes.

The document, according to the Guardian’s report, also stated that “a platform cannot be considered fair if it is biased against half of the nation.”

Elon Musk has long complained about Twitter’s left-wing bias, and he’d want the platform to function as a free speech advocate — which, of course, does not include death threats.

Libs of TikTok tweeted a statement Tuesday stating that Twitter had stopped several accounts in relation to the death threats, and also thanked Musk:

With the drama, the timing of Musk’s Twitter criticism is significant. According to Bloomberg, Musk will speak to Twitter employees for the first time at a Thursday virtual meeting and take questions.

Libs of TikTok’s issues with Twitter are not new, and just last week, the social networking site apparently banned Libs of TikTok over a tweet thread critical of drag queen-related activities for children.

But on Thursday, the account made a stunning return: “I’m back! It appears that uploading videos and advertisements of drag events is abusive, but the actual events are simply ‘innocent family-friendly fun,” Libs of TikTok said.

Twitter is known for allow death threats against conservatives. Twitter was previously asked to do something about death threats made against British Conservative politician Nigel Farage.

Twitter has also been accused of “shadow banning” conservatives, which means making it harder for their tweets to be seen.
