This week, President Biden spent a mere twelve minutes speaking to striking autoworkers in Michigan before rushing off to attend a fundraising event in California.
Biden spent less than thirty minutes in Wayne County interacting with United Autoworkers (UAW) union members. A live stream of the event from The Washington Post shows that he got there as protesters marched in a circle yelling, “What do we need? A contract! When would you like it? Now!”
With a bullhorn, Biden talked for roughly a minute after he arrived, and then he gave the mic to UAW President Shawn Fain.
“People, don’t give up.” Biden said, “You deserve the big raise you’re seeking along with other benefits.”
The Daily Mail said he spoke quickly again prior to leaving the gathering 12 minutes after he got there, while John Mellencamp’s “Small Town” played.
Breitbart News has reported that autoworkers are going on strike against GM, Ford, and Stellantis to get higher wages. This is because of the 40-year-high inflation that happened during Biden’s presidency, which has made the dollar much less valuable than it was when Trump left office.
Breitbart News reported that autoworkers are also very worried about Biden’s plans for electric vehicles. They want to know from companies as well as the federal government that these plans will not put their jobs or wages at risk.
After talking with the union workers for a short time, Biden took Air Force One to California for a fancy Democratic fundraiser in Atherton in the San Francisco Bay Area. NBC Bay Area stated that seats ranged from $5,000 to $100,000.

“One hundred thousand dollar dinners are something that 99% of Americans will never be able to afford,” Professor Nolan Higdon, a political analyst at Cal State East Bay, stated to the news source. “The fact that residents of the Atherton region are able to afford such a large sum of money explains why he is holding his campaign rally in the Bay region.”
Biden’s trip to Michigan happened the day before Trump was supposed to show up in Detroit with striking UAW workers as a counter-programming during the Republican debate this week. Notably, Biden only said he would join the picket line after it came out that Trump was going to give a “prime time speech before present and former” UAW employees in Detroit.
Trump has insisted that the UAW is being sold “down the ‘drain'” by the “Electric Car SCAM.”
“They will be produced in China because Crooked Joe wants China to come first. His message to autoworkers was clear: VOTE FOR TRUMP! I will make you victorious and rich!” He said this in a Truth Social message earlier this month.
“VOTE THEM OUT OF OFFICE RIGHT NOW IF YOUR “LEADERS” WILL NOT BACK ME. “With the Democrats and Crooked Joe calling the shots, you will find yourself broke and jobless in four years,” he said.
