Biden Slammed For Move That Put RFK Jr. In Harms Way

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) blasted President Biden this week for neglecting to provide Secret Service security to his top Democratic Party opponent, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., when a man arrived at one of his campaign rallies with a loaded pistol.

Cruz stated to co-host Ben Ferguson on his show “Verdict”: “I think that the Biden administration has not provided RFK Jr. Secret Service protection simply because if they did, it would make RFK Jr. a real person.”

“This is not a matter of left or right,” Cruz said. Robert Kennedy Jr. should get a protection detail from the Biden government right away. Biden shouldn’t be wasting time. His father and uncle were both murdered in horrible ways, and this latest serious security issue isn’t anything to joke about.”

“In this case, you have RFK Jr.,” he said later. “You have his unique personal story. His father was killed while campaigning for President of the United States. Bobby Kennedy was killed while he was running for the Democratic presidential nomination. Prior to that, his uncle, John F. Kennedy, was killed while he was still President of the United States. Given the past and the present, people are crazy.”

Cruz stated that he believed it was a “no-brainer” that RFK Jr. should have the protection of the Secret Service if he so desired.

“It is my belief that the Biden administration has refrained from granting it because doing so would validate him; they would have to acknowledge him as a serious contender, and the Biden White House’s strategy is to be RFK who? We had no idea who he was,” Cruz said. “No, no, no. Nobody’s running. There is no one in the Democrat primary. Joe is below in the basement, and this is a coronation. I think it is all about politics.”

“Regardless of your political affiliation, this should be a simple decision. And the Biden White House should stop playing politics and do the right thing.”
