Dan Bongino has officially taken the reins as Deputy Director of the FBI, marking a major shakeup at the bureau as the Trump administration continues its mission to restore integrity and eliminate political bias from America’s top law enforcement agency.
Bongino, a former NYPD officer, Secret Service agent, and wildly popular conservative commentator, was sworn in by FBI Director Kash Patel and wasted no time making his priorities clear.
“It is an honor to serve as Deputy Director for the Federal Bureau of Investigation at such a critical time for our nation. The American people deserve a justice system that is transparent, accountable, and committed to the rule of law,” Bongino posted on X.
Bongino’s appointment sends a loud and clear message—the days of the weaponized Deep State, political witch hunts, and corruption inside the FBI are coming to an end.
“My promise to you is that I will work tirelessly to help restore integrity, eliminate political bias, and ensure the FBI remains dedicated to its core mission of protecting the United States and upholding the Constitution,” he continued.
Patel, who has already made massive reforms since taking over as FBI Director, welcomed his new second-in-command with a simple but powerful message: “Let’s get to work.”
After being sworn in, Bongino paid his respects at the FBI’s Wall of Honor, a tribute to fallen agents who sacrificed their lives for justice and national security.
Bongino’s decision to step away from his hugely successful podcast, “The Dan Bongino Show,” underscores his commitment to serving the American people in this critical role.
President Trump made it clear why Bongino is the right man for the job, writing on Truth Social: “He was a member of the New York Police Department (New York’s Finest!), a highly respected Special Agent with the United States Secret Service, and is now one of the most successful podcasters in the country, something he is willing and prepared to give up in order to serve.”
Bongino has spent years exposing corruption inside the FBI, and now, he’s on the inside—ready to clean house and bring the agency back to what it was meant to be. The FBI isn’t just back—it’s back with a vengeance.
