According to former President Donald Trump, Vice President Kamala Harris’s staff informed his campaign that she would not be taking part in the September 4th Fox News presidential debate.
Trump announced on Truth Social this week that Harris will not be taking part in the Fox debate in Pennsylvania, which was scheduled to be hosted by hosts Martha MacCallum and Bret Baier.
“This development does not surprise me; I feel that she is aware of how difficult, at best, it will be for her to stand by her record-breaking flip-flops on every single thing she once stood for, including her claims that there would be no more Pennsylvania crackdowns and her appalling performance at the border,” Trump posted on his social media platform, Truth Social.
Given that the vice president was not yet the official nominee of the Democratic Party, Trump had initially been hesitant to engage in a debate with her. However, once she was officially nominated by the party, the former president eventually agreed to debate her.
The leftist network ABC News has scheduled a debate for September 10th, and both Trump and Harris have indicated that they will be attending. The 45th president announced that he has consented to participate in a discussion on NBC News on September 25.
There has also been agreement on a debate between the vice presidential contenders. On October 1st, Governor Tim Walz (D-Minn.) will face JD Vance (R-Ohio) on CBS News.
Michael Tyler, the director of communications for Harris’ campaign, stated in a statement last week that “voters deserve to see the contenders for the highest office in the country present their contrasting views for our future.” “Trump and Vance show the American people how insecure and unreliable they are the more games they play. These games are now over.
Later, Trump announced that he and Fox News anchor Sean Hannity would be attending a town hall in Pennsylvania in lieu of the Fox News debate.
