Tim Walz, the failed 2024 Democratic vice presidential nominee, still hasn’t gotten the message. After suffering a humiliating defeat alongside Kamala Harris last November, Walz is now openly mulling a 2028 presidential run. That’s right—despite being completely rejected by the American people, this guy thinks he has what it takes to lead the country.
In a stunning display of political delusion, Walz told The New Yorker Radio Hour that he would “certainly consider” running for president if the conditions are right. “If I feel I can serve, I will,” he said, adding that if the voters reject him again, he’s “good with that.” At least he acknowledges the inevitable.
This is the same Tim Walz who couldn’t even carry his own home county in Minnesota. The same Walz who was supposed to help Harris rally Middle America but instead got steamrolled in his debate against Republican VP nominee JD Vance. And now he wants to run for president? The arrogance is staggering.
Democrats were already scratching their heads when Harris picked Walz over Josh Shapiro, the Democratic governor of swing-state Pennsylvania. That questionable decision didn’t move the needle at all, and now Walz wants a shot at the White House—despite the fact that his own party essentially handed him a participation trophy in 2024.
It gets worse. Walz actually admitted the loss is one he’ll “take to the grave” but then immediately turned around and blamed Republicans for everything under the sun. He whined about “Medicaid cuts,” “LGBTQ folks being demonized,” and every other left-wing talking point under the sun. It’s a classic Democrat move: ignore your own failures and blame conservatives for everything.
And let’s not forget, Walz doesn’t even want to return to Congress. He outright said he’d rather “eat glass” than go back to the Capitol. What an inspiring public servant! He’s clearly more interested in advancing his own career than in actually governing.
If Walz is re-elected as governor in deep-blue Minnesota and serves through 2031, he’d become the state’s longest-serving governor. That might be a safer bet for him since his presidential ambitions are about as realistic as Kamala Harris becoming a master orator.
At the end of the day, Walz is just another delusional Democrat who refuses to accept reality. He couldn’t win in 2024, and he won’t win in 2028. But if he wants to humiliate himself on the national stage again, conservatives will be more than happy to watch.
