Loyal readers will remember a recently launched video game called “Hogwarts Legacy,” which was vigorously opposed by activists and their applauding seals, even to the point of threatening and bullying streamers who played it on their channels. It did not prevent the game from turning into a smashing hit, due in part to the outrage the activists instilled in the general public.
The game became so successful that a sequel was quickly revealed, but it doesn’t end there.
According to Deadline, the seven Harry Potter novels Rowling penned are nearing a reboot as an HBO Max series, with Rowling serving as a producer:
“Warner Bros. is in negotiations with Rowling about joining the project as a producer, according to Deadline. The project, which is still in its early stages, is anticipated to seek a writer once she joins. The basic concept, as first reported by Bloomberg, is for every season of the possible TV series to concentrate on one book within the Harry Potter book series, which comprises seven novels.”
For the most part, millennials should be cautiously optimistic.
