It looks like President Trump is going to need to replace his Secretary of Labor soon. Most of the Trump 2.0 administration has been operating like a well-oiled machine. It’s been victory after victory for the past twelve months. (So much winning!) But the Department of Labor, much like the Department of Agriculture, has been stinking the place up. It pains us to report this, but there is a brewing scandal over the president’s allegedly drunk-on-the-job Labor Secretary, Lori Chavez-DeRemer.
The only reason why we ever rag on the Trump administration is that we want the president to succeed. We’ve been extremely harsh on some of Trump’s choices, but only because those people are not pulling their weight. We’ve made no secret of our disdain for Attorney General Pam Bondi or Ag Secretary Brooke Rollins.
For most of Trump’s cabinet, we’d give them an A+ for performance.
For example, any complaints about Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy? He’s canceling tens of thousands of illegal alien truck driver licenses across the country. He’s reforming our air traffic control system so that air travel won’t suck as much. Any supply chain hiccups since he’s been in office? No? No more baby formula shortages? A+ for Sean.
Likewise, we have zero complaints about JD Vance, War Secretary Pete Hegseth, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, DNI Tulsi Gabbard, EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin, or OMB Director Russ Vought. Even Kelly Loughler has surprised us at the Small Business Administration. They get an A+ across the board.
But what’s the Department of Labor been up to? Why aren’t we hearing about a string of victories for the American people out of the DOL?
Maybe this is why.
Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer, along with her chief of staff and deputy chief of staff, has been placed under an internal investigation at the department. Whistleblowers have come forward to file damning complaints against Chavez-DeRemer and her key people. These are not complaints that lack credibility. Most of the Biden staffers at the DOL quit last year when Trump came back into office.
Chavez-DeRemer has been accused of abusing her position by carrying on a sexual relationship with a subordinate. The former Oregon congresswoman is married with two children.
She’s also been accused of day-drinking in her office. When the clock strikes 5:00 p.m., Chavez-DeRemer doesn’t head home to her family. She and her girlfriends from the office hit the bars in the DC area, according to the complaint.
She’s also accused of committing travel fraud on the taxpayer’s dime. The complaint alleges that Chavez-DeRemer’s staff invents fictitious reasons for her to travel away from DC so that she can visit friends and family or have weekend getaways with her underling boyfriend.
Given the propensity of liberal bureaucrats in DC to tell non-stop lies about the Trump administration, you might be tempted to dismiss this as fake news. That was our first thought when we started to hear the rumors. But then, the New York Post splashed the bikini pics all over the front page.
Chavez-DeRemer traveled to stay at the Red Rock Casino Resort and Spa in Las Vegas at least three times in 2025. She took the office staff with her, including her chief of staff, deputy chief of staff, and the alleged paramour. This was all at taxpayer expense. There are photos and surveillance videos of her engaging in “inappropriate” behavior with the alleged boyfriend.
On the one hand, I’m willing to give Chavez-DeRemer the benefit of the doubt. Mainly because, at 57, she still looks smoking hot in that orange bikini. Our Labor Secretary has been hiding some major surprises under that professional business attire.
On the other hand… WHY AM I SEEING BIKINI PICS OF TRUMP’S LABOR SECRETARY???!!!
The bikini pics were taken back in October, during Chuck Schumer’s government shutdown. It should have been “all hands on deck” for Trump’s cabinet that month. But Lori Chavez-DeRemer was lounging by the pool in Vegas with her friends at taxpayer expense.
President Trump has a generational opportunity to Drain the Swamp and reform the federal government on behalf of America. This is a serious time in history. We need serious people running federal agencies.
It looks like it’s time for a change at the Department of Labor. Secretary Chavez-DeRemer has refused to comment on the allegations.
