North Korea’s dictator, Kim Jong Un, is once again making headlines. This time, he is boasting about how close his country has become with Russia. He says the bond between North Korea and Russia will “advance nonstop.” That should concern every freedom-loving American.
Kim made these comments at a ceremony in Russia, where a new memorial is being built. The memorial honors North Korean soldiers who fought alongside Russian troops in the war against Ukraine. Yes, you read that right—North Korean soldiers are fighting and dying on the battlefield in support of Vladimir Putin’s war. This is not a rumor. The United States confirmed it back in 2024.
Let’s be clear about what that means. Two of the world’s most dangerous regimes—Russia and North Korea—are working together, sending troops, supplies, and even construction workers to help each other. Kim called this alliance a “militant fraternity” and celebrated the blood they’ve shed together. He even shouted, “Long live the invincible North Korea-Russia friendship.”
This is more than just talk. It’s a warning. These are not peaceful nations. They are led by dictators who hate the West, hate freedom, and hate the United States. When they grow stronger together, the world becomes a more dangerous place. And we must not ignore that danger.
It’s also important to see how quickly this alliance has grown. Just a few years ago, Russia and North Korea were not this close. But now, with American weakness under previous leadership behind us, these tyrants are rushing to close ranks. They know that President Donald Trump is back in the White House, and they are nervous. They remember how he held them accountable before, and they know he will do it again.
President Trump is now heading to Asia for a series of important meetings. He will speak with leaders from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and even China. His trip is focused on peace, trade, and security. And though there are no formal plans for him to meet with Kim Jong Un, many are hoping that such a meeting could happen. After all, President Trump is the only American president who has ever stepped foot into the Korean Demilitarized Zone. He knows how to talk to strongmen like Kim—and he knows how to stand firm.
When Trump met with Kim in the past, he didn’t bow or apologize. He didn’t send pallets of cash, like the Obama-Biden crowd did with Iran. Instead, he made it clear that America will protect its people and stand by its allies. That kind of leadership is what the world needs now more than ever.
We must also remember that North Korea is not just a problem for Asia. When they team up with Russia, it affects us here at home. It makes our enemies bolder. It threatens our troops overseas. And it sends a message to other bad actors—like Iran and China—that the world will not stop them if they move against freedom.
But America is not weak. Not anymore. Under President Trump, we are rebuilding our strength, securing our borders, and standing tall on the world stage once again. We are not looking for war, but we will not back down from tyrants who try to threaten peace.
We must stay alert. We must pray for our soldiers and support our leaders who are working to keep us safe. And we must continue to speak out against evil alliances like the one forming between North Korea and Russia.
This is a time for courage. This is a time for truth. And this is a time to return to the values that made America strong—faith, family, freedom, and the firm belief that good must stand up against evil. Our future depends on it.
