America is a land built on truth, justice, and the rule of law. But when those who are trusted to uphold the law instead use their power for political purposes, the very foundation of our Republic shakes. This is exactly what appears to have happened with former FBI agent Walter Giardina.
President Donald Trump has now called for a full investigation into Giardina. And rightly so. The American people deserve to know the truth. We must uncover how a high-ranking federal official could be involved in what looks like a years-long political campaign against a sitting president and his closest advisors. This is not just about one man or one case. It is about protecting our country from corruption at the highest levels.
Peter Navarro, a former top White House official and current Senior Counselor for Trade and Manufacturing, has been sounding the alarm for some time. He believes Giardina played a key role in many of the false investigations aimed at President Trump and his team. From the fake Russia collusion story to the January 6 political witch hunt, Giardina’s name keeps coming up. If these claims are true, then this man was not acting as a fair and honest law enforcement officer. He was acting as a political hitman.
Navarro has said Giardina helped push the discredited Steele dossier, a document paid for by Hillary Clinton’s campaign. That dossier was used to launch the Crossfire Hurricane investigation, which led to years of false stories, wasted taxpayer dollars, and damage to our nation’s trust in the FBI. Whistleblowers have even claimed that Giardina wiped his FBI laptop, possibly destroying key records tied to these investigations. If true, that is a serious crime.
But Giardina’s alleged misconduct didn’t stop there. Navarro also tied him to later FBI operations, including something called Crimson River and Arctic Frost. These cases, according to Navarro, were just more of the same — using the justice system to go after Trump and anyone close to him.
Navarro himself was arrested in 2022 at Reagan National Airport. He says Giardina oversaw that arrest. Agents did not read him his rights, and they didn’t let him call his lawyer. Even worse, Navarro’s fiancée was reportedly treated like a criminal and paraded in public. This kind of treatment is not what we expect in a free country. It is the kind of behavior we see in banana republics, not in the United States of America.
There are also claims that Giardina is related to Larry Potts — the same FBI official who oversaw the deadly events at Waco and Ruby Ridge. That connection, if true, raises more questions about the kind of culture that has taken root inside parts of the FBI and Department of Justice.
This is not just about old cases or past grievances. It is about stopping the corruption that has infected our institutions. If people like Giardina are allowed to act without consequences, then they will do it again. And next time, it may not be President Trump they go after. It could be any American who dares to speak out or stand up for what is right.
We must restore honor and integrity to our federal agencies. That begins with accountability. President Trump is right to demand an investigation. Every American, no matter their politics, should want the truth to come out. We cannot allow the FBI to become a political weapon. We must return to the values that made this country great: honesty, duty, and respect for the law.
