It’s not just Republicans facing fire at home—Democrats are being eaten alive by their own base.
During this week’s congressional recess, town halls hosted by Democrats across the country spiraled into chaos as frustrated progressives demanded to know why their party won’t fight harder against President Donald Trump’s sweeping America First agenda. From Illinois to California, the message from the Democrat grassroots is loud and clear: “Do something, or get out of the way.”
At one town hall in Illinois, Rep. Sean Casten had to call in the police when pro-Palestinian activists hijacked the forum. In Maryland, Rep. Glenn Ivey was berated for being too “calm” about Trump’s policies. And in deep-blue California, Rep. Gil Cisneros faced open hostility from voters furious over Social Security concerns and the work being done by Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency.
Even Democrats in swing districts couldn’t escape the heat. Sen. Elissa Slotkin was told point-blank by constituents in Michigan that yelling from the Left “hasn’t stopped Trump”—to which she could only respond that her job is to be “more than just an activist.”
Translation: even Democrats are throwing in the towel.
The American people see the writing on the wall. While President Trump rolls out bold, transformational reforms—slashing bureaucratic bloat, pushing peace abroad, and draining the D.C. swamp—Democrats are stuck whining about “process” and “minority status.” Their base wants warriors, not wine-and-cheese Beltway placeholders.
The latest polling reflects the collapse: NBC shows just 27% of Americans hold a favorable view of the Democratic Party. CNN puts them at a record-low 29%. Even 20% of registered Democrats say their own party is off the rails.
But the most telling sign? Democrat voters are turning on each other. At multiple events this week, attendees shouted down their own representatives for being passive, weak, and unorganized. And far-Left darlings like Bernie Sanders and AOC are going rogue, now openly talking about launching a third party.
The Democrat Party has no leader, no plan, and no message. While Trump delivers results, they’re just delivering excuses. And even their base has had enough.
