As Joe Biden’s reelection campaign implodes, Hillary Clinton—the former first lady and twice-failed presidential candidate—has surfaced once more. I have long said that she would desire another chance at the presidency. To be honest, I’m shocked it took this long.
Pablo O’Hana, an editorial writer for The Hill, believes that Rodham Clinton is the one who can keep the president’s hopes alive.
“But who is it? The idea that there isn’t a qualified candidate for President Joe Biden to replace him as the Democratic nominee in 2024 is the clearest case against it. However, Hillary Rodham Clinton is a strong candidate and one of the most qualified.”
“We have been openly and ceaselessly debating Joe Biden’s candidacy for what seems like ages. On multiple occasions, Democrats have urged him to make a decision. It is detrimental, divisive, and serves only to bolster Donald Trump’s prospects. I have fiercely supported Biden in the past and insisted that Democrats unite behind our candidate, but it is time to finish this discussion. “We have to consider why Clinton is not only the most capable of taking up the mantle but also the most appropriate one if Biden is to cede the arena.”
“The most powerful of all.” What gives this writer the impression that Hillary might win today, after three and a half years of Democratic failure coming out of the Oval Office? Despite being massively outspent, Trump defeated her in 2016.
Jason Miller, a senior aide to President Trump, couldn’t help but laugh:
O’Hana, nevertheless, remained unfazed.
“First things first: Clinton is younger than Trump and Biden together. This is a significant point, considering the current controversy surrounding aging; endurance and energy are synonymous with ability.”
Yes, but she has also shown signs of alarming health problems. Recall the time she seemed to pass out at a 9/11 memorial in 2016 while she was getting into a van.
O’Hana doesn’t care about health issues, the unlikability factor, or Hillary’s prior mistakes.
“Clinton is an effortless substitute. She has an unrivaled background and a diverse range of experience. From being the U.S. senator and secretary of state to being the first lady and an attorney for the Children’s Defense Fund, she has continuously redefined the positions she has held. Not only is her broad history of local and international issues impressive, but her knowledge is invaluable in an era of more unpredictable and complex global politics. Her ongoing support of children’s rights and health care—a cause that has gained more significance since the pandemic—adds even more allure.”
O’Hana continues, but I’m sure you’ve had enough (I know I have). He calls one of the most repulsive politicians in history a goddess, but if Hillary wasn’t able to defeat Trump when Barack Obama almost gave her the office, what hope would she have now? I would assume not much.
As I have stated, I’m shocked that she hasn’t gained more notoriety following Biden’s disastrous debate performance. Will we see more of this writer’s desire for Shrillary, or is it a one-time event? It’s safe to assume that Team Clinton is putting forth extra effort to start a “draft Hillary” campaign.
