Democrats Call For The Confiscation Of AR15s

Representative Eric Swalwell (D-CA) wrote a post on X this week calling for the return of AR-15s and other guns that Democrats call “assault weapons.”

He would additionally like a ban to be put in place so that no more AR-15s will be made or sold.

Swalwell wrote:

The person who attacked the Dollar General in Jacksonville this week had a Glock pistol and an AR-15-style weapon. So, making the weapon illegal would not have stopped the attack from happening.

Also, on October 10, 2022, Breitbart News claimed that FBI statistics showed that knives as well as other cutting tools were used to kill over two times as many individuals as guns in 2021. And statistics showed that greater numbers of individuals were killed with hands and feet instead of guns in 2021.

It’s important to know that the rifle group covers all kinds of rifles, including pump-action, lever-action, single-shot, semi-automatic, and bolt-action rifles, as well as rifles that the Democrats call “assault weapons.”

As of July 21, 2022, more weapons of the AR/AK type were in use than there were “Ford F-Series trucks,” according to the most recent statistics from the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF). The estimate from the NSSF, which was released by Breitbart News, showed that there were almost 24.5 million of these guns in circulation at the time.
