Democrats Overwhelmingly Turn On Joe Biden

A recent CNN poll revealed that three-quarters of “Dems/Democratic-leaning independents that are registered to vote” want the Democratic Party to choose someone other than Pres. Joe Biden as the party’s 2024 presidential nominee — while only 25% thought it should choose Biden.

According to a poll conducted earlier this year, 51% of respondents thought that the Democratic Party should choose someone other than Biden in 2024, while 45% wanted the president.

According to a recent CNN poll, 55 percent of Republican and GOP-leaning independents who are registered to vote think the Republican Party should choose someone else for the 2024 election, compared to 44 percent who believe Trump should be the nominee.

Joe Biden has repeatedly said that he will seek re-election as long as he is in good health. However, if public opinion does not dramatically change in his favor going forward, he may miss the nomination even if he runs.

While Biden has only been in office for a little less than two years, he has had poor job approval ratings in numerous surveys for quite some time. Gas prices have been high, and inflation is on the rise in the United States. Biden is also the oldest president in American history, with age 86 by the conclusion of his second term if re-elected.

Among potential 2024 New Hampshire Democratic primary voters, according to a recent poll that provided a list of prospective 2024 Democratic presidential candidates, President Biden and Transportation Secretary Peter Buttigieg were practically tied for first place. The University of New Hampshire Poll Center’s Granite State Poll discovered that 17% backed Buttigieg, while 16% picked Biden — a +4.7 percent margin of error for likely 2024 Democratic primary voters. While Buttigieg had a positive net favorability rating of 54%, Biden had only a net favorable score of +19%.
