DeSantis Reveals His Strategy To Counter Trump’s Insults

The governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, is touring the early primary states while also defending his state’s history curriculum against critical reporting, agreeing to debate against the governor of California, Gavin Newsom, and clarifying the non-controversy surrounding the Orlando Magic campaign donation made to the DeSantis Super PAC.

DeSantis participated at a town hall meeting called “Conversation with the Candidate” in New Hampshire this week as a part of that trip, while one question, in particular, targeted a topic to which many people had been anticipating.

DeSantis is questioned by the town hall’s moderator about debating alongside former President Trump and the possibility of Trump “belittling” him. He questions the governor’s strategy in the face of such an assault.

DeSantis stated:

“So, let’s get to it. All of these insults are so hollow. These insults are childish. A great nation shouldn’t conduct itself in that manner. The President of the United States shouldn’t be acting in that manner.”

“I appreciate the discussion. New Hampshire residents have been wonderful. They are outspoken. Let’s discuss these problems in those debates. I won’t make anyone feel bad. Someone’s appearance, clothing, or anything like that. We have a six-year-old, a five-year-old, and a three-year-old, so I would not educate my children to treat anyone in that way. Our children are instructed to treat others as we ourselves would like to be treated.”

‘We will disagree on topics, and you know, one of the things I believe about the previous president is the fact that he is running in 2024 on the promises he made in 2016 but didn’t keep. I admire all the amazing things he accomplished, and I was a strong supporter.”

DeSantis continues: “Trump failed to follow through in a number of areas throughout his presidency, including his decision to keep Dr. Anthony Fauci.”

“Stop worrying about his hairstyle and other such things. We must put an end to that. And here’s the thing: if we choose to behave in that way as Republicans, we will lose. There are millions of folks that do not approve of what Biden is doing to our country.”

“However, they won’t support a candidate who acts in such a manner. So let’s improve ourselves, aim higher, and set a high bar for our kids to look up to.”

In a quest to rescue America, we must continue pushing back against the liberals and their damaging policies. But in order to achieve that, we need to have your help.

Of course, the far left is exerting every effort to energize its supporter base. The pro-abortion movement is agitating for “abortion rights” and intimidating our conservative Supreme Court judges because of this. We also know that they will continue to seek more judges on the Supreme Court in an effort to advance their extreme leftist agenda across the board.

In preparation for 2024, it’s time to step up our efforts, which should include bringing attention to topics that the media prefers to overlook and exposing corruption that the media won’t touch. We must all work together to defeat the socialist agenda.
