The American people deserve truth and justice. But for years, powerful forces in Washington have worked to cover up corruption at the highest levels. Now, newly released FBI memos reveal something that many of us already suspected: the Clinton Foundation was at the center of multiple pay-to-play schemes, and the federal government knew it. Yet instead of holding Hillary Clinton and her allies accountable, the FBI and the Justice Department repeatedly blocked their own agents from investigating.
These memos go back over a decade. They show that FBI agents tried to look into serious claims about foreign money flowing into the Clinton Foundation in exchange for political favors. But each time they made progress, the top brass shut them down. This is not how justice is supposed to work in America.
One of the most troubling cases involved the Uranium One deal. Back when Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State, a Russian state-owned company bought a Canadian uranium firm called Uranium One. This deal gave Russia control of a significant portion of America’s uranium supply. At the same time, people connected to the deal gave millions of dollars to the Clinton Foundation. FBI agents wanted to investigate, but their leaders dragged their feet. By the time the agents were allowed to move forward, the statute of limitations had already expired. It was too late.
Another case involved the United Arab Emirates. Under the Obama administration, a pre-clearance airport facility was approved in Abu Dhabi. Around the same time, the UAE gave millions to the Clinton Foundation. A retired federal official even filed a report about it, suggesting that the donation may have influenced the decision. Still, nothing was done.
The pattern is clear. Big donors gave money to the Clinton Foundation. Then, soon after, they received favorable treatment from the U.S. government. It happened with Saudi Arabia. It happened with Boeing. It even happened in the wake of the Haiti earthquake, when a company that donated to the Foundation suddenly got a lucrative mining contract.
There was also a case involving an Indian-American businessman named Sant Singh Chatwal. He was close to the Clintons and later pleaded guilty to breaking federal campaign laws. The FBI had a monitored phone call that raised serious questions about the Clinton Foundation’s role. But the investigation never went anywhere.
In another example, a Nigerian billionaire named Gilbert Chagoury was linked to illegal campaign donations. He was later fined by the Department of Justice. Yet when the FBI tried to share information about his ties to the Clinton Foundation, headquarters stopped them.
All the while, agents were told not to issue subpoenas. They weren’t allowed to question Clinton or her Foundation. Instead, they were told to stand down. Meanwhile, the same FBI and DOJ that slow-walked Clinton investigations launched a full-blown probe into President Trump based on flimsy and false claims of Russia collusion.
This is not just about Hillary Clinton. It’s about how the deep state protects its own. When elites break the law, they get away with it. When outsiders challenge the system, they get investigated, raided, and dragged through the mud.
Thankfully, we now have a President who is not afraid to take on this corrupt machine. Under President Trump, we have a chance to finally bring the truth to light. The American people deserve to know what happened. They deserve to see justice done.
Too many times, we have seen our leaders get rich and powerful while pretending to serve the people. That must end. We need a return to honesty, accountability, and the rule of law. No one is above the law — not even the Clintons.
It is time to clean house. It is time to restore faith in our institutions. And it is time to put America first, not the corrupt interests of the political elite.
