According to the New York Post, Joe Biden’s “no repercussions” immigration policy is to blame for the rise in illegal immigration into the US, according to Raul Ortiz, commander of the US Border Patrol.
In a videotaped deposition that was conducted as part of a case Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody filed against the Department of Homeland Security, Ortiz revealed details concerning Biden’s inadequate border security practices.
In the July deposition, Ortiz stated, “In my experience, we have seen rises when there are no penalties.” This deposition was acquired by Fox News Digital.
Ortiz was subsequently questioned by a Florida state attorney about whether more migrants would still attempt to cross the border in light of the absence of border enforcement.
“There is an idea that, certainly, you may observe rises if migrant populations are notified that there is a possibility that they may be freed,” he answered.
Furthermore, Ortiz asserted that many of the immigrants who entered the nation did so with the knowledge that they had a fair possibility of being permitted to do so due to the lax enforcement practices at the country’s borders and within its borders under the Biden administration.
Ortiz also disclosed that this fiscal year’s tally of interactions between border patrol agents and migrants had already topped that of fiscal year 2021.
Ortiz responded in the negative when asked if illegal immigrant invaders have a negative opinion of Trump and his policies. The current Biden administration, which is perceived more positively owing to its pro-open immigration policies, stands in stark contrast to this.
Then, when Biden was inaugurated as president, the lawyer questioned Ortiz if “aliens entering the United States unlawfully feel that they will be permitted to come and stay in the United States.”
