In a recent interview on “Real Time with Bill Maher,” Robert DeNiro spoke about the “nightmare” prospect of a real “dictatorship” if former President Donald Trump were to win the 2024 election.
How Trump could defeat President Joe Biden was the issue Maher raised. According to a New York Times/Sienna poll, which the host of the HBO discussion show quoted, Trump leads Biden 48% to 43%. Maher said that when it came to women, Trump and Biden were tied for first place, while when it came to Hispanic voters, Trump was ahead of the Democratic contender.
“I don’t know, I simply don’t want to feel the way I did,” DeNiro retorted. And a huge majority of us don’t. Following the 2016 election, which shocked us into believing it had actually occurred.”
DeNiro called Trump “a horrible, nasty, disgusting guy” and a “complete monster.”
The Hollywood star said on the HBO program that if Trump were to win another term, the US would turn into a “dictatorship” and that the government would forbid Bill Maher from having his own program.
“It cannot be,” said DeNiro.
The performer said to Maher, “He wins the election if he is. This program won’t have you on it anymore. He’s going to come look for me. Things will occur that none of us could have predicted. He claims that’s what takes place in that type of regime. Let’s trust him and accept his word for it.”
Maher claimed, “I mean, I’ve stated all along that this man isn’t going to give up control. He still hasn’t, too. He recently conceded that he lost the last election and made it known that he would continue, yet he still hasn’t. He claims he missed out on one semester due to fraud.”
“So he’s a sociopathic, psychopathic, malignant narcissist,” blustered the 80-year-old DeNiro. He is a dangerous individual.
“I’d never portray him as an actor because I can’t see any good in him,” DeNiro said to the other star. Nothing. Nothing at all. There is nothing in him that is worthy of redemption.”
Trump retaliated against DeNiro by claiming that the actor had TDS, or Trump Derangement Syndrome.
“Robert DeNiro has a terrible case of Trump Derangement Syndrome,” Trump stated in a Truth Social post. What a low-IQ person, such a stupid-sounding dude!
“I’d like to hit him in the face,” DeNiro remarked of Trump in 2016. “I mean, he’s so clearly ignorant.” He is a mutt who is ignorant, uninformed, indifferent, a dog, a pig, a punk, believes he is participating in societal games, is a con artist, and does not pay his taxes. He is a fool.”
